Default Dedicated Servers VS. VPS
Hello all

I'v been checking some dedicated servers offers like the ones at tomsyer.net which seem to be fine, and then i found those VPS and checked them out as well, but whats the big difference between them?? they have alomost the same price, disk space and bandwidth.

So what would you go for?? i'v been searching for tomsyer.net reviews and i find good and bad ones, and if you would go the VPS way who would u choose ?? some1 with excellent support and uptime this is whats important for me...

Im never one to like the thought of sharing!

Basically a VPS means there are lots of people sharing the one hardware machine, if they run something that uses huge aounts of CPU ect this can effect you.

It makes sense to get your own machine for security and performance.

consider vps as several "mini-computer server" inside your server.
it can host sites just like dedicated servers do but with less resources
available since the server itself is divided into several "mini-server"

there are several type of vps for web hosting.
one is virtouzo and the other is UML (User mode linux)
between the two virtouzo is better because you have the power
to reboot your vps unlike UML where you need to inform your vps
provider to reboot your vps.

hope that helps
