How many shared sites per server?

How many shared websites can standard P4 2.8 GHz /1024 Gb RAM/120 Gb IDE comfortably host before starting to bog down. I understand that specific scripts/services can affect utilization equation, but I'm just interested to know the magic number I should plan for. What's the worst and best scenario?

You should be able to host a few hundred sites but your limit will be set by your SQL DB usage as this will affect the performance of the actual server.
